Programmes

One programme. Three therapeutic layers. Whole-person wellness.

Our offerings move with the whole family — a structured 3-hour Cognitive Wellness Programme built on Move · Think · Connect™, individual music therapy led by trained professionals, and support for the caregivers walking alongside.

Structured 3-Hour Cognitive Wellness Programme

Move • Think • Connect™

Our Cognitive Wellness Programme is thoughtfully designed for seniors with, or at risk of, mild cognitive impairment, including dementia. Delivered through a structured and engaging format, the programme supports cognitive maintenance, emotional wellness, social interaction and overall quality of life in a warm, person-centred environment. Each session is intentionally designed to stimulate different areas of wellness through a 3-hour therapeutic framework — rather than treating wellness as separate components, each hour intentionally builds on the next to maximise engagement and therapeutic benefit.

What a session looks like

A small, warm group moves through three intentional hours — gentle physical activation, meaningful cognitive stimulation, and a group music therapy session — each led by trained facilitators in a calm, person-centred space.

Hour 3

CONNECT

Group Music Therapy

Connecting through music, emotion and relationships

The third hour incorporates a Group Music Therapy session facilitated by a trained music therapist, where music is intentionally used as a therapeutic medium to support emotional wellness, communication, cognitive engagement and social connection.

  • Therapeutic singing and familiar songs
  • Instrument-based engagement
  • Rhythmic interaction and movement
  • Musical reminiscence
  • Group music-making experiences
  • Therapeutic listening and relaxation

Goal: To nurture joy, emotional well-being, connection and meaningful participation through music.

Why this integrated model matters

Our programme is intentionally sequenced — MOVE → THINK → CONNECT. The body is first activated, the mind stimulated, and emotions nurtured through meaningful social and musical engagement. Unlike traditional senior programmes that separate physical, cognitive and emotional care, MS Care integrates all three into one structured journey — including embedded Group Music Therapy led by a trained professional — creating a uniquely holistic experience supporting emotional well-being, cognitive health, physical activation, social connection, and meaning and purpose.

Individual Music Therapy Intervention Services

Evidence-based music therapy by trained professionals.

Music Therapy is a clinical and evidence-based intervention facilitated by trained music therapists to address specific cognitive, emotional, physical and psychosocial goals. Led by Joy Khau — an experienced music educator, music therapist and founder of MS Academy — our Individual Music Therapy Intervention Service offers personalised, evidence-based therapeutic support for individuals across the lifespan, including seniors, persons with disabilities, individuals with special needs, mental health challenges, dementia and cognitive impairment. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to the individual's strengths, preferences and therapeutic goals, using music as a meaningful and engaging medium to support cognitive, emotional, physical and psychosocial well-being.

What a session looks like

A one-to-one session shaped entirely around the individual — therapeutic singing, familiar songs, live music, instrument-based engagement, movement and guided musical interaction — supporting communication, emotional regulation, social connection, memory, attention, self-expression and overall quality of life.

A safe, affirming space

Whether supporting a senior living with dementia, an individual navigating anxiety or emotional challenges, or a person with special needs requiring developmental or psychosocial support, MS Care seeks to create a safe, affirming and meaningful therapeutic space where individuals can experience connection, growth, dignity and joy — one musical moment at a time.

Caregivers Support

Journeying together.

MS Care is not only for the senior — we support the family journey. Through caregiver education, practical strategies, check-ins and emotional support, we help caregivers feel more equipped and less alone.

What a session looks like

Practical guidance, regular check-ins and a listening ear — caregiver education and emotional support that walks alongside your family.

Why this matters

When caregivers are supported, seniors thrive better too.
